Ginger Bess Simons. Ginger is an amazing vocal talent in Salt Lake city and is booked every week with different gigs throughout the valley. She absolutely blows my mind! I was one of the first guys to perform. I sang "Babe" by STYX. I was pretty impressed by JD Dumas who was sight reading the music. It felt like glorified karaoke but it was a great experience! If anything I got a cool lounge singer shot of me now!
There were a lot of people there I didn't know but I caught up with many old friends.
One of my New Years Resolutions is to "Make something BIG happen this year". I think getting myself out in the open and doing what I love all the time is a step in the r
ight direction. The more I surround myself with amazing performers the more I realize how much I love it! Pursuing a stage career just might be that "big change"!I have to emphasize that last night I was BLOWN away by the sheer talent everyone had that I was just a minnow amongst BIG FISH. Utah has so much talent. One of my friends Jeff Stevens sang one of my favorite songs "Cry" from Forever Plaid and he had the audience rolling! He is going out to New York to try Broadway in about a month. He is trying to get me to be his roommate out there!
